Facebook friends, family, and random college or unknown sort of friends… Welcome to my life update!  As some of you know, for the last 8 months I have been on a crazy adventure into the world of professional basketball.  I am attempting this feat at the tender age of 27, hence the “27-Year-Old Rookie” title.   My workouts, leagues, agents, and try-outs have led me to this point.  On September 12th I will be headed to Israel in pursuit of this goal.  I am going without a guaranteed contract but with an opportunity to play and have tryouts set up.   Sometimes you need to take a leap of faith and follow any opportunity that is given.  I won’t go into detail now about the journey I have been through over the last 8 months but if you wish to follow the timeline, feel free to read the posts below from the beginning.  It has been a physical, emotional, spiritual, and even religious roller coaster.

During this process, I have come across many amazing and passionate people who have taught me important life lessons. The most obvious and profound lesson is how important it is to follow your own bliss. This is very personal because we all enjoy and are passionate about different things. For me, the last 8 months have been some of the most fulfilling times of my life. I challenge all of you to find your bliss and pursue it. I challenge all of you to set what I call a “are you out of your mind” type goal and start moving towards it. Whether you’ve always wanted to skydive on every continent or own your own business worth 100 million dollars… Just make that large goal… just make that intention and nature will organize and support your journey. I challenge you this and promise the results will be fruitful.

If you would have told me when I was a kid that at 27 years old I would be headed to Israel on a one-way ticket in hopes of playing professional basketball, I would have laughed and called you crazy.  But here I am, 27 and headed to the Middle East in pursuit of my dream.   Just as “The Zohan” needed America to pursue his passion for hairstyling, I needed Israel to pursue my dream of playing professional basketball.  I guarantee within 2 weeks I will be brushing with hummus and drinking fizzy bubbly!  Much love to you all… please come to visit!
